Outreach Projects Focused on Fundraising and Engaging the Children of our Community

With the children of our community being our primary focus, our literacy project, BUG programs, and Terrific Kids programs are instrumental to the student's  success.

The Literacy project is an ongoing initiative to support the goal of increasing reading scores for area Title 1 elementary schools.  Support is to be provided through the adoption of bookcases along with free books within each of the selected schools.  The 2024 goal is to have five bookcases and books slated within selected schools by the end of the year.

The BUG (Bring Up Grades) program is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades into an acceptable range and maintain/continue to raise them from one grading period to the next.

Terrific Kid is a student recognition program, created by the Kiwanis Club, that promotes character development, self-esteem, and perseverance.  Students work with their classroom teacher and establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance, or schoolwork.
