A Kiwanis club is organized around a core membership of selected service-minded men and women who reflect the community profile. Prospective members are invited to join by existing members. Membership information is then reviewed and approved by the club's Board of Directors.
The Kiwanis Club of Kernersville meets every Wednesday from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Giada's Trattoria, located in downtown Kernersville at The Shoppes at the Factory (210 N. Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284). Kiwanians, on average, invest about six hours a month by participating in club meetings and volunteering in their community. There are no attendance requirements, but active participation is encouraged.
Beyond an initial membership induction fee, members contribute annual dues determined by the club to finance the administrative duties of the club and provide for its commitments to the Kiwanis Carolinas District and Kiwanis International. All monies needed to accomplish a service project are raised through fundraising.
Interested in Joining?
Visit us during any of our weekly Wednesday lunch meetings. (See our Meetings link under the Join Us page.) You will be our guest; your lunch is on us! If you like what we're doing for our community and want to become a part of it, please ask the club Secretary, Debra Johnson, for a membership application. Ask a current member of our club to sponsor you and present the completed membership application, along with the initiation fee, to the club Secretary. At our club's next regularly scheduled Board meeting, Board members will review your application and vote upon your acceptance into our club. You will be promptly notified of the Board's decision.
